Anyone can spend $100’s of dollars every day on pay per click ads and get a few sales.  The question is:  Can I spend LESS than I am earning in sales?

This is the burning question right now in internet marketing among affiliate marketers.  With the maturation of the pay per click marketing scheme, how do I spend less and make more?

The answer is rather surprising…  Don’t spend anything on PPC ads.

You can use free methods to get nearly the same results.  However, you’ll have to put in some time to make money online.  Free marketing methods include signature lines, emails, and articles.  They also include Suidoo lenses, facebook pages, and bookmarks.  in fact, Social Marketing is the topic of one of my other articles and is rapidly growing.

Free methods of making money on the internet DO require more work.  BUT, once you get used to doing the free methods and you make them a part of your daily routine, you can get them done in just a few hours a day.

Take article marketing, for example.  A lot of people wipe thier noses and say “I don’t want or can’t write articles”.  Okay, that’s fine.  But you have just lost one of the most valuable resources and free tools for getting your links out there.  LEARN to write.  Learn to write fast.  Learn to put out 4 or 5 articles of 400 words per hour.

If you sit down and start doing it, then you can do it.  The great thing about articles is that they have staying power and long after you have written them, they will still produce clickthrus for you.

Your sig line in emails and in forums.  Absolutely free.  AND another great sourch of free backlinks and clicks.  If you are not posting for about 30 minutes a day on a forum, you need to start.

Set up a facebook page and then start fo “friend” a few people.  Make sure your links are clearly visible on your page.  Once you have around 200 friends on facebook, the viral nature takes hold and you start getting more every day.  These people’s friends then will start “friending” you and so on and so on.

Set up a Squidoo page at Squidoo.com.  Be sure and put a link to your facebook page.  Then, use Digg and Delicious to bookmark your pages.  In fact, there are about 50 “social bookmarking” sites out there.  These sites allow others to see what has been bookmarked the most.  Then they can check them out and bookmark them, too.

Again, the magic number seems to be somewhere around 200 bookmarks before the viral nature starts taking effect.  Try it – you’ll like it.

Free is VERY good if you have been spending tons of money on pay per click.  It does take some work and time at first, but, over time, you get used to putting in a couple of hours per day and you will begin reaping the rewards sooner than you’d think.
